Grandmother's and Grandfather's Day has been celebrated in Poland relatively recently. It was first promoted by the magazine "Świat Kobiety" in 1964, but that only concerned senior women. Grandfathers had to wait until the 1980s for their holiday. It came to us from the United States and has become a permanent part of the calendar. Usually, every kindergarten or school invited grandmothers and grandfathers to performances held at the end of January. Unfortunately, the current pandemic situation excludes this form of celebration.
