Adrianna Jund - Plant-Based Cuisine Ambassador for Batida

Plant-based cuisine is a new lifestyle for me. Since I stopped eating meat during pregnancy, exactly a year ago, many things have changed. Initially, my motivation was only health reasons, followed closely by ecological concerns and, of course, animal rights.

Because a plant-based diet is a solution that benefits everyone, today I feel, that by cooking vegan for family and friends I emphasize values important to me. It’s a spark, that gives me motivation to work. I feel fulfilled because I am finally making a positive gesture in all the important areas for me.

When creating menus, I always use products close to my heart: those that are always present in my fridge. I believe they add an extraordinary flavor plant-based dishes, and they replace meat cuisine and its flavors 110% for me. Spices are the foundation of vegan cuisine.

My gastronomic “self” was born from specific textures and flavors I can’t live without. I love our Polish traditions, but I want to change myself and my kitchen: to move with the times, creating new trends and norms in line with the evolution of the environment. I believe that the current generation of chefs also has great opportunities in this area - to break away from tradition and give gastronomy a new direction.

Plant-based cuisine is exactly what I needed to satisfy my hunger for creativity every day, to discover flavors that make me feel like a child exploring gastronomy for the first time.

In vegan cuisine, it is also important to balance the nutritional values it provides. all the ingredients necessary for the proper functioning of the body.

I also pay great attention to products that support immunity, like ginger, turmeric or garlic. That’s why, when I was discovering plant-based cuisine in Vancouver, I relied on high-quality ingredients. The vegan food scene there is very well developed, and availability is not an issue.

In Poland, I had to search a bit, but I had a huge motivation: to bring the well-known flavors from Canada straight to Batida's kitchen. I succeeded!
